The Prague office of Schoenherr, a leading full-service law firm in Central and Eastern Europe, has named three new partners. As of 1 August 2015, Vladimír Čížek, Zoltán Pálinkás and Gabriela Porupková will be promoted to local partners of the firm's office in the Czech capital.
"The appointment of new partners in Schoenherr's Prague office is the result of the office's long-term positive development and reflects the confidence the Schoenherr network has in the Czech Republic's growing legal services market," said Martin Kubánek, the office's managing partner.
Vladimír Čížek has been with Schoenherr's Prague office since 2013 and has more than eight years of experience as a practitioner, focusing mainly on M&A transactions, corporate law matters, and capital markets. Vladimír holds law degrees from the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen, Czech Republic and also studied law at Manchester Metropolitan University in the UK. He is fluent in Czech and English.
Zoltán Pálinkás, who has more than 17 years of experience as a legal practitioner and has been with Schoenherr since 1998, specialises in corporate/M&A, restructurings and employment law in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. He is admitted to the bar in both countries. Zoltán holds law degrees from Charles University in Prague and Ludwigs-Maximilian University in Munich and is fluent in German, English, Hungarian, Czech and Slovak.
Gabriela Porupková is an experienced attorney with more than 11 years of practice and has been with Schoenherr since 2007. She focuses on real estate and corporate matters, frequently acting for clients in these sectors as well as in the retail sphere. Gabriela holds a law degree from Masaryk University in Brno and also studied at the University of Vienna. She is fluent in Czech, English and German.
All three new partners will take on roles in the Prague office's management, mainly in the areas of human resources, knowledge management and business development.
