Smart grid solutions for grid optimization, from generation to consumption, will be revealed by ABB
ABB Romania will participate in the International Electric & Automation Show 2014 to be held between September 9-12, 2014. The ABB booth will be showing the company most recent development in the power and automation technology domains.
ABB’s world-class protection and control solutions guarantee reliable power transmission and distribution. In order to ensure interoperable and future-proof solutions, our products have been designed to implement the core values of the IEC 61850 standard. This, combined with our long experience in the field and full scope of services and support, make ABB a leader and pioneer in substation automation and protection.
The advanced solutions in the low voltage products field – such as the Smart Home and Intelligent Building Control (KNX) will be also shown by ABB at the IEAS 2014. ABB i-bus® KNX is the intelligent installation system that meets the highest requirements for applications in modern home and building control. ABB i-bus® KNX is based on the simple and proven KNX technology which is accepted as the world’s first open Standard for the control of all types of intelligent buildings - industrial, commercial or residential.
“Energy efficiency and Grid reliability are the key elements, common for all the technologically advanced solutions presented by ABB at the IEAS 2014.” – said Tomasz Wolanowski, Country Manager of ABB Romania.
The electric vehicle charging systems will be another interesting domain presented at the ABB booth of this year. The Terra 23 multi-standard DC charging station combines industry standardization with fast charging technology to support the next generation of electric vehicles. Moreover, smart connectivity of the charging station allows remote monitoring, maintenance and functional upgrades, providing customers the necessary tools to gather accurate statistics and reports.
An attractive exhibit will be the IRB 140 Robot – small, powerful and fast used for both industrial applications such as: arc welding, assembly, machine tending, material handling, packaging, as well as for the non-industrial applications such as architecture and interior design.
ABB provides solutions for secure, energy-efficient electricity generation, transmission and distribution and for increased productivity in industrial operations in Romania. The company accomplishments include key projects in the power domain, including renewable energy – solar and wind, robotics solutions (with applications for welding, painting, palletizing and handling, including preventive and reactive maintenance), Flame proof / AMD motors applications and AMI motors applications for thermo power plants, low voltage panels supplying power to various production units in the automotive and petrochemical industries, as well as in the timber industry.
ABB (www.abb.com) is a leader in power and automation technologies that enable utility and industry customers to improve their performance while lowering environmental impact. The ABB Group of companies operates in around 100 countries and employs about 145,000 people.
