In the past days, there was information in the Romanian media regarding an agreement signed between the Chinese wind turbine manufacturer Sinovel Wind Group Ltd. and the Romanian companies Rokura Sri. and C-Tech Sri. The statements say that Sinovel Wind Group Ltd. and Rokura Sri. resp. C-Tech Sri. from Romania signed an agreement on astra tegic co-operation for the achievement of wind energy projects in the region of Dobrogea with a total capacity of 1'200 MW.
As commented earlier to the media, our company signed an exclusivity agreement with the Spanish utility lberdrola Renovables, S.A. on February 11, 2008, according to which we develop in the defined exclusivity zone in Dobrogea, Romania, our wind energy projects totalling up to 1'500 MW, exclusively for lberdrola Renovables, S.A. The relevant pages of that contract are attached hereto.
The development of our wind energy projects in Romania is done, among others, through our affiliated company Eolica Dobrogea Sri., Constanta. The rights over our complete wind park portfolio are within our Eolica group, not with third parties. It is therefore legally not possible that anybody else apart from us signs any agreement with third parties for this portfolio. If now the mentioned Romanian companies did sign any agreement with the Chi nese wind turbine manufacturer, then this cannot be binding or valid.
Due to the actions which our former administrator of Eolica Dobrogea Sri., Mr. Corneliu Dica, undertook in the past and which are severely damaging our reputation as a profes sional and serious company, we were forced to start legal actions against him. In the meanwhile, Mr. C. Dica's mandate as Administrator of Eolica Dobrogea Sri. was ceased by law (Law 31/1990, article 155-4). He was replaced by a new administrator in order to guar antee that our project development in favour of lberdrola Renovables, S.A. in Dobrogea will continue in a professional and appropriate manner.
