Propunerea completă a Intracom Telecom pentru HW ODU, HW IDU și NOS SW îndeplinește în mod ideal cerințele OpenSoftHaul (OSH) dezvoltate în TIP
Intracom Telecom, furnizor global de sisteme și soluții de telecomunicații a anunțat astăzi că a fost declarat printre “cei mai bine clasati furnizori” pentru RFI global OpenSoftHaul (OSH) al Telecom Infra Project (TIP) coordonat de Wireless Backhaul Project Group (WBH PG). WBH PG a fost organizată și susținută de Axiata, Deutsche Telekom, MTN, Telefónica și TIM Brasil.
Mai exact, la procesul RFI al TIP au participat peste douăzeci de furnizori de top din domeniul tehnologic pentru trei categorii principale de soluții:
• Sisteme Radio pentru Exterior în microunde și unde milimetrice (HW ODU);
• Soluții IDU Whitebox (HW IDU)
• Sistem de Operare Rețea configurabil de Operator (NOS SW)
Furnizorilor li s-au cerut informații privind capacitățile tehnice actuale și funcțiile susținute, precum și legate de strategia lor de dezvoltare a soluțiilor care îndeplinesc cerințele tehnice OSH. În urma unei evaluări tehnice aprofundate realizate de membrii TIP, soluția propusă de Intracom Telecom a fost declarată printre cele mai bine poziționate soluții la toate cele trei categorii. Această realizare tehnică excelentă s-a bazat pe arhitectura soluției propuse, funcționalitatea sa, maturitatea & scalabilitatea, deschiderea și funcțiile planului strategic ale propunerii generale.
Soluțiile pentru exterior complete ale Intracom Telecom – familiile de sisteme radio cu microunde OmniBAS™ și unde milimetrice UltraLink™, ce sunt produse in totalitate la Intrarom, in Bucuresti – au fost declarate conforme cu categoria HW ODU și au fost printre cele mai bine poziționate soluții radio. De asemenea, la categoriile HW IDU și NOS SW, propunerile companiei au fost din nou printre cele mai bune, folosind soluțiile furnizate de companiile noastre partenere în tehnologiile respective.

Scopul WBH PG și în special al acestui RFI a fost să evalueze peisajul tehnologic global pentru crearea soluției de interconectare wireless dezagregate și deschise, prima din lume care va ajuta la depășirea mai multor probleme, precum întârzieri în implementare & în termenul de introducere pe piață și suprapuneri de configurații.

Intracom Telecom’s complete proposal for HW ODU, HW IDU and NOS SW ideally fulfils the OpenSoftHaul (OSH) requirements developed in TIP
Intracom Telecom, a global telecommunication systems and solutions vendor, announced today that it has been identified as a “best positioned supplier” for Telecom Infra Project’s (TIP) OpenSoftHaul (OSH) global RFI, coordinated by the Wireless Backhaul Project Group (WBH PG). The WBH PG was organized and backed up by Axiata, Deutsche Telekom, MTN, Telefónica, and TIM Brasil.
More specifically, during TIP’s RFI process, more than twenty leading technology providers participated in the three main categories of the required solution:
• Full Outdoor Radios in microwave and millimetre-wave (HW ODU);
• IDU Whitebox solutions (HW IDU), and
• Operator configurable Network Operating System (NOS SW)
The providers were requested to share information on their current technical capabilities and supported features, as well as their strategy in developing solutions that meet the OSH technical requirements. Following a thorough technical evaluation by TIP members, Intracom Telecom’s proposed solution was found among the best positioned solutions in all three categories. This great technical achievement was based on the proposed solution architecture, its functionality, maturity & scalability, the openness and the roadmap features of the overall proposal.
Intracom Telecom’s fully outdoor solutions – microwave OmniBAS™ and millimetre-wave UltraLink™ product families – were found fully compliant in the HW ODU category and were among the best positioned radio solutions. Furthermore, in the categories of HW IDU and NOS SW the company’s proposals were again among the best, using solutions provided by our partner companies in the respective technologies.

The purpose of the WBH PG and specifically this RFI was to assess the global technology landscape for creating the first-in-the-world open and disaggregated wireless backhaul solution that will assist in overcoming various issues, such as delays in deployment & time to market, and configuration overlaps.
