Winmarkt Group, the Romanian subsidiary of the Italian group Immobiliare Grande Distribuzione (IGD), which owns and manages 15 properties, 14 shopping centers and an office building, in 13 cities across the country, announces the financial statement for 2017.
HIGLIGHTS (LOCAL GAAP)
• Gross Margin from letting: 9,35 mil. euro (+5.4% vs 2016)
• EBITDA (local): 6,6 mil. euro (+7.7% vs 2016)
• Group Net Profit (local): 2,6 mil euro (+148% vs 2016)
• FFO: 6,1 mil euro (+8.0% vs 2015)
• Dividends paid: 4 mil. euro
• New investments: 2,2 mil. euro
• Occupancy rate: 96,4% ( vs 96.1% in 2016)
• Footfalls: 30,6 mil. visitors (-2,3% vs 2016)
Winmarkt concludes 2017 with rising results and improved values for most indicators.

The group continues the strategy of consolidating the Winmarkt network, confirming once again the objectives of 2016-2018 business plan. The constant improvement of the commercial mix, the optimization and the efficiency of the operational costs, as well as the continuous updating of the real estate properties remain the main directions for the year 2018.

The most important bet that we made, and that has proved to be the winner, was the decision to reconfigure the upper floor spaces that have been transformed into office spaces, fitness halls, entertainment areas or medical clinics.”
CSR – Sustanability report
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is an important element of Winmarkt's strategy not only for Winmarkt's success but also for promoting a sustainable future. Annually, the Group carries out a sustainability report to measure environmental impact, employees and the economic environment, in compliance with Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) standards. The main focus is over the real estate sector since Winmarkt's main business being renting commercial spaces (property, asset and facility management). The information included in the report is both verified and validated by an external authority.
• 2/3 Winmarkt shopping centers consumed less than last year (electricity and fuel)
• we have increased the waste sorting by 4% compared to 2016
• 3% more paper and cardboard was collected
• 63% of Winmarkt employees are female

37001 ISO Certification
Also, the Winmarkt network is the first company in Romania to obtain ISO 37001 Accreditation Certification (Anti-bribery management systems). ISO 37001 is the only standard globally recognized that can be used to certify the corruption prevention management system that indicates the measures and controls that an organization can take to monitor its activities and increase the effectiveness of preventing corruption.
