The Bucharest office of international law firm Schoenherr announces the promotion of Adina Jivan and Emeric Domokos-Hancu to partner, starting February 1, 2016. In its latest round of promotions, Schoenherr adds a seasoned litigator and a versatile insol-vency specialist to its top ranks.
”The two new partnership promotions are mainly the result of the two lawyers' contribu-tion to the development of Schoenherr's Bucharest office, and they are a part of the firm's growth strategy. The increasing partnership structure confirms that Schoenherr is one of the top international law firms active locally, in an economic climate characterised by globalisation”, said Sebastian Gutiu, Managing Partner of Schoenherr in Bucharest.
Adina specialises in litigation and arbitration, representing clients before courts of law and arbitration in local and international complex files (under ICC rules, for example), in vari-ous areas such as competition law, public procurement, infrastructure contracts based on FIDIC conditions, administrative law and contentious administrative, commercial law, cor-porate law and insolvency. Adina's practice in niche areas includes solutions that repre-sent firsts in Romanian jurisprudence.
Emeric specialises in commercial litigation as well as in national and cross-border insol-vency. He represents local and foreign clients in various complex litigation and arbitration cases, including debt recovery procedures. In addition, Emeric assists clients in the devel-opment of internal risk procedures and general business conditions, with the aim of opti-mising the recovery of potential debts. He has played a key role in various restructuring projects (in connection with funding and more) handled by our Bucharest office.
