One of the most prestigious competitions for the European business community has announced its National Champions, with Țuca Zbârcea & Asociații being selected as a Romania champion alongside 9 other business entities. It is for the first time that a local law firm wins for Romania in this phase of the competition.
The European Business Awards now in its 9th year engaged with over 32,000 businesses from 33 European countries. It is the largest awards program recognising and rewarding excellence, best practice and innovation in companies across Europe. The rigorous and well respected judging process has established the European Business Awards as one of the most sought after accolades in Europe. Supporters and judges of the European Business Awards have included Yves Leterme, former Belgium Prime Minister; Karel De Gucht, Former European Commissioner for Trade; Wim Kok, former Dutch Prime Minister; Gilbert Ghostine, Managing Director, Diageo Continental Europe; Professor Gilbert Lenssen, President, European Academy for Business in Society; Malcolm Scott, British Consul-General to Düsseldorf; Flemming Lindeløv - CEO, Deltaq (former CEO of Carlsberg) and Hon. No less than 10 companies active in the oil industry, medical services, IT&C, or organisations providing professional consultancy services such as recruitment/HR, real estate and legal assistance have been awarded with the National Champion status for Romania.
A National Champion title for Țuca Zbârcea & Asociații recognises the firm’s business success, dynamism and business ethics. It is for the first time that a local law firm wins for Romania in this phase of the competition. The National Champions for Romania join other 668 organisations from across Europe that won a coveted title for their respective countries. In a second phase of the competition, both the European Business Awards’ judges and the public will select the holder of the Ruban D’Honneur title and of the National Public Champion, respectively. Ruban d’Honneur recipients will then go on to be part of the grand final in June 2016. To date, five of Romania’s National Champions have entered this phase of the competition.
