Taking responsibility for the environment and local community has been always an important part of the broader commitment of the Radisson Blu Hotel, Bucharest to sustainable development for many years. In 2001, this commitment was fortified and placed within the scope of a program called Responsible Business which became part of our organizational culture, covering areas such as community outreach, cultural heritage, employee and children’s rights, health and safety and environmental improvements.
In 2014, Radisson Blu Hotel, Bucharest was engaged in many social activities offering help to the ones in need and supporting amongst others; United Way, Asociatia Darul Copilariei, Lady of Mercy for Romania, Fundatia Fecioara Maria, Centru Generatii, Fundatia Sfanta Irina and Bridging the Gap.
Radisson Blu Hotel, Bucharest will continue to expand its social involvement also in 2015, developing new corporate social responsibility programs and offering direct support to different organizations and associations. In this respect, as part of our constant expansion and renovation activities, but also of our wide Responsible Business project enjoying the support of the owning company, S.C. Bucuresti Turism S.A., this year started with a massive action of furniture donation. At the outset of the renovation and rebranding of ApartHotel into Park Inn by Radisson Bucharest Hotel & Residence, furnishings from 150 apartments were removed and many items were delivered to charity organizations such as Complexul Educational Lauder Reut, Fundatia Chabad Lyubavitsh, Lady of Mercy, Asociatia Bridging the Gap, bringing some comfort in the life of people in need.
