Florin Vasilică, a senior corporate finance professional, has joined Ernst & Young Romania to lead the Transaction Advisory Services practice in Romania. In this role, Florin's mandate includes expanding the firm's client portfolio in the financial advisory field and the range of services available to firm's clients.
Florin has over 15 years of experience in corporate finance and investment banking. He has a solid track record of successful transactions during his tenure with two major global investment banks, Merrill Lynch and J.P. Morgan, where he held regional and international leadership roles. He has experience in a wide range of industries, including Financial Services, Oil & Gas, Power, Telecommunications & IT, and Public Sector.
Prior to joining Ernst & Young Romania, Florin's business portfolio included raising over USD 3 billion in international financing for various clients in Romania, Turkey, the USA, South Africa and Russia through a variety of debt instruments. He has also managed complex investment banking projects in Romania, Bulgaria, Croatia, Serbia, and other countries in the region, with a particular focus on advisory, equity, and structured finance.
More recently he worked with local companies to restructure their balance sheet by way of divestments and arranging new debt and equity with a view to promoting stability and growth.
